Discipline
In our classroom the rules and expectations are reviewed daily.  Each child has a frog on the green lily pad.  The goal is to stay on the green lily pad.  If a child is misbehaving, I remind him/her of the rules and expectations for our class.  I will give the child a verbal warning and tell him/her that if they do not change their behavior they will have to move their frog to the yellow lily pad.  If a child moves their frog to the yellow lily pad, we will spend recess filling out a Behavior Alert note that will go home with the child.  The yellow Behavior Alert note should come back to school the next day, signed by a parent.  Should a child continue to break our rules, they will move their frog to the red lily pad.  A Behavior Alert note will be filled out as well.
