BARD: Braille and Audio Reading Download - BARD stands for: Braille and Audio Reading Download. This is a free service for the visually impaired that loans you audio book players and audio books. All you have to do is register. On the website they also have a whole list of Frequently Asked Questions that offer a lot of information about the program.
Family Connect - Family Connect is an online, multimedia community created by the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) and the National Association of Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (NAPVI). This site gives parents of visually impaired children a place to support each other, share stories and concerns, and link to local resources.
